Sam and Max Season 1&2

This is the first SCUMM style adventure game that has come out since Grim Fandago in 1998(IIRC). The game itself is insanely funny and took me back to my days playing Monkey Island, Full Throttle, etc. Plus it's cheap, you can get season 1 for less than $30, it should run easily on a budget laptop, and you can play the entire game with just a mouse/touchpad.

Some of the jokes can be miss but their are a few that had me laughing my ass off. The targeting computer in 'Abe Lincoln must die' to name one.

This game made me realize how much I miss the SCUMM games and wish they would ALL make a comeback!

I want to download the demo but do I need to play the games in order? or can i just download the chariots of the dogs demo and be done with it, I suppose it's quality is better than the first game.

I haven't played CoD yet, but so far episodes 1-3 of season 2 are not tied to season 1 in terms of plot, but there are a lot of re-occurring characters and references to season 1.

IIRC they have put out one of the best episodes as a freebie (Abe Lincoln Must Die!).

The new Sam & Max is excellent, and has some old-school talent behind it (Grossman and Purcell). Just finished Episode 5 of the first series.
