Salsa vs. Picante: Fight!

Wag

Was in my local superstore- saw big jars of picante and salsa by the same company sitting side by side. Looked the same to me, even the ingredients were similar.

What's the difference?

picante is less chunks and more sauce. i prefer picante.

salsa is more chunks and less sauce. that's probably obvious.

pace picante sauce rox.

yep, what they said

picante sauce is for pussys, it's the really thin stuff, like spaghetti sauce

salsa is the thick and chunky stuff, for the real men

I asked the same question a while back, and got conflicting answers... I don't think anyone really knows.

Yeah, but why would Pace offer both Salsa and Picante? They even sell them in the sam packaging. Although I did notice at my local Sam's they only had Medium Salsa, yet had Medium and Mild Picante.

Confusing indeed. I guess I'll try the Picante next.

Umm, no 🙂
Great tip, though 😀

Oh yeah, and I forgot green peppers and onions are added to picante sauce as well.
