Salary

I've gottten an email from a headhunter asking if i'm interested in a few positions doing embedded systems work. Right now I have 1+ years of experience doing embedded work for a mining machinery company. They want to know what my asking salary is. What would be a good range to say in order to maximize my salary without asking for too much.

What you got at the mining company+20%.

What are you making now?

I'm graduating with CPE/EE degrees and the gist I get for RTP here is starting salaries in the $50-60K region. 1 year experience, maybe $60K plus?

It depends on whether or not you are getting benefits like health care. My rule of thumb is that I need at least $15K more per year if health care is not included.
