Salary Wording

Salary: A gross salary of $ 1,600, paid bimonthly on the 7th and 21st by direct deposit.

Does that mean $1600 a month or $3200 a month?

$1600 seems awfully small for an IT internship, so do you think they may have messed up on their wording? I'm emailing them to find out what that exactly means, but I'd like to see your opinion.

It's a lot more common for an employer to pay twice a month than it is to pay every other month, though.
