Likewise. I don't think that pad would be too useful...(correct me if I'm wrong if someone uses it and loves it.)

The keypad is sweet. It is almost like you're holding another mouse, which gives you more flexibility. Plus it's backlit for night gaming, the keys are very quiet, it's built like a tank, and you can customize the key pad for every game you play & just load the profile for the game before you start the game up. The keypad just helps to eliminate having a keyboard in the way. It's really wonderful if your space is limited or if you tend to find you accidentally hit keys (such as the dreaded Windows key) during intense gaming.

Pedro offers you his protection. Get the gamer's keyboard or you're an idiot! heh
I paired mine with a Razer Diamondback & the duo is scary precise in game, and I find it easier to maneuver in UT2004 using the keypad as the spread out number keys of the keypad inspire a bit more confidence for dodging & such.

I dunno. The selling point for me is the black finish (Matches my case, mouse, monitor, speakers, etc.). I just don't see the added keypad as being practical.

The keypad is great if you play shooters a lot. If you don't just get the black one.

I play the FPS occasionally (Doom/CS/HL2/UT...) but I don't see why I need another component laying on my desk. Thanks for your input.

well, if you say, want to map a combo like crouch jump or to select a specific waepon with 1 keypress, then this is for you. for example, the crossbow in hl2 takes 3 presses to get to. with the macropad, just press a key(say 5) and if you macroed it correctly,([4][4][rightmouse] i think) then 1 key press gets you the weapon almost instantly. makes life a lot easier.

Gamer's Keyboard
Eclipse Keyboard

TomsHardware just did a review on these Keyboards. The Eclipse has lighted keys.
