Was thinking of getting the "saitek eclipse" keyboard. Read some very good reviews on it, just wondering if anyone here has or has used one and has any opinions on it. How well do the keys light up ect

I have one and I have absolutely no regrets. The keys light up well enough for me to see them at night and the typing feel is exactly what I was looking for (quiet and easy to type).

Got a link to one?

just got mine in from dell. so far so good.

only complaint is that it's to basic compare to my microsoft office keyboard. i really need a keyboard with a scroll wheel even though my mouse has one already. also i dont like their funky edge styling. otherwise i'm enjoying typing in the dark now. i might sell mine when razer comes out with their gamer keyboard.

Dude those funky edges are for stability and grip. It has all the buttons I wanted, ie: volume.

but other keyboard grip fine without the funky edge. just move the grip more in and round off the edge. heh.
i never use the volume button, but i grew fond of the scroll wheel on keyboard, better for gaming i guess. i can scroll through weapons with both hands.

I have one and it's awesome. Quiet as hell, cool-looking, and visible in dark environments, which means good for gaming. The funky edges take a little getting used to but it's nothing that should deter your purchase. I have the black one, as the silver one comes with a programmable macro pad which is useless for me. I think the next keyboard I'm going to buy will be this one.

That's a cool keyboard! I'm guessing that it will sell for close to $400?! I got the idea when reading the description of it, "costs around the price of a good cell phone". Any how, it probably won't be out for another year...

The Eclipse is an EXCELLENT keyboard. I have had one for about 3 months now and I LOVE it, I used to have the gamer version of it from before, but that is now on my wife's machine, because the whole reason I bought the gamer one is because of the backlight, although it did NO good on that one. This does exactly what I wanted it to, which was let me be a little in the dark playing MoFo.

Has anyone tried using this keyboard to access bios settings and such? I heard the keyboard is bugged in this sense and people are using two keyboards!!

I do not own the saitek keyboard, but I have tried it out. It feels like a cheap piece of crap. It looks nice though. For that kind of money, I expected better.
