SGI at least on the older graphics workstations I used to play on were nicccce! I loved the feel of the keys.

Yeah, really nice keyboard. It is USB, charcoal grey and very solid. No useless (to me) extra multimedia buttons that need drivers and the layout is very standard.

Yep, In for one as well! The last illuminated keyboard I bought was junk as you could not read the keys, This one appears to be a winner reading the reviews of it. For under $25 with Tax how can you go wrong, Other than the rebates of coarse.

Go on Radioshack's website, and under order status after you sign in, there should be a copy of what you ordered, so you click on the order #, and it shows everything you need (order details).

Well I just got mine. They key spacing feels quite different from my Logitech KB. I can't quite figure out exactly what it is, but I find myself hitting the wrong keys every now and then.
The space bar is a lot more wobbly compared to the logitech, but it doesn't feel like it's going anywhere. In fact, all of the keys are wobbly compared to my logitech.

Hmm.. I think I might just give this kb to my gf and keep my logitech.

Well your one of the first in hundreds of reviews that stated this, The egg has over 400 reviews on this keyboard and if there is one thing they almost all like about it is the feel of it. Review sites also give this keyboard high ratings. One thing I didnt like in some of the reviews is that some complained that the paint rubbed off the keys in a short period of time. I cant say yet as I have not received it yet.

I will continue to use it today and maybe for the weekend. Perhaps I should have prefaced my post saying it is just my initial impression, not a final review.
Another thing I like about the logitech is that when I hit the mute or volume up/down keys, it displays it on the screen, too.

the actual keys are not lit rather just backlit? I think i'll get the G15 instead, i want my actual keys to glow/be visible.

The keys are translucent just like the G15. Their is light that goes through the letters as well as light between the actual keys.

The wobbly feel is probably a difference in travel length on the keys.. the logitech probably has more plastic on the posts under the keys. It really won't make a difference as far as usability in long run. As far as feel, I think this is as close to perfect as you're gonna get it. It's like a cross between a laptop keyboard and desktop one. I personally hate the spacing on laptop keyboards but like the minimal effort on the keys and the light click feedback when keys are pressed. I have short stubby fingers so I don't like keyboards that have a lot of travel on the keys... it means the fatty part of my fingers whack the keys around the one I'm pressing. The keys also have a flatter face than most MS keyboards which I also like with my stubby fingers... although it means your fingers slip off keys more than you're used to. When I'm typing on this I use a much more vertical angle with the tips of my fingers than on MS type keyboards to make sure I hit the keys directly...

Oh yeah, this is not a keyboard for those that like to eat often at their PCs.... I've gotten in the habit of eating with my right hand cause my mouse is easier to clean.

I didnt know Radioshack was this good with shipping, ordered tuesday with free ground shipping and fedex delivered it on wednesday. thats free overnight...Awesome!!!

Having used the logitech wireless one that came with the MX3100 desktop, its taking me time to adjust to the feel of this one, its kinda harder and the delete/home/end keys are all arranged differently.

I just bought one. I already have the original one without the backlighted keys and I love it. the tactile feel of the keyboard is the best. Virtually no resistance.

+1 for ratshack. ordered last night, arrived this afternoon. kinda wish it has more multimedia buttons + onscreen display like the logitech 1337. but other than that, this is one killer deal.

Cant be to bad when this many reviews come in from users being mostly positive. other than the paint rubbing off the keys. Hoping this was just isolated cases.

Um yes it can. Newegg systematically goes through and deletes negative reviews.

I got mine a few weeks ago from amazon for 45 shiped. the spacebar is MEGA loud and rattly, especially compared to the other keys, and especially when pressed with the right thumb (like most people do). I was going to exchange mine and hope for better luck but maybe now I'll try to get a refund and get in on the radioshack deal. The only thing is I don't know about spending 33% more just to be on the mercy of a rebate company. The thing that makes the keyboard the most annoying is to have paid so much for it and then realize that it probably cost about $3.99 to make.

You know if it was 20 reviews then maybe yes, But with as many reviews as it has got and they are not all saying its the best, I think I will trust the newegg review for this keyboard. The way you talk you hate it but for some reason you want to get another one. I would rank that as pretty good. Just google the keyboard and you will get the same favorable reviews for it.

I bought one about a month ago and love it except for one annoyance:

The spacebar is VERY 'loud/clicky'. All the other keys are nice and quiet. Anybody know how to fix this problem? Sounds like the spacebar is 'loose'.

Not a HUGE deal....i'd certainly buy it again.

Yeah, I would have to agree with the majority of people that it is a really good (or at least very decent) keyboard. I just had to spout off a bit cause I am a bit disgruntled at the spacebar thingy.

Supadupachez... this is also my problem exactly...what's weird is the spacebar has a much nicer feel on the left side... man if I ever figure out how to fix this, I will be a very happy person. It's just that at this price I feel that one shouldn't have to fix anything

Like I said, I was just disappointed by the noise of the spacebar. That's why I (over)react the way I do. Evidently it doesn't bother some people as much, so YMMV. I just really thought they could have done a better job on the spacebar since some other keyboards (like the free ones from Dell) have a quieter spacebar.
