I just bought a Saitek Action Pad GM3 because I'm a retard when it come to using the keyboard. This controller replaces the keyboard and works with your mouse. VERY SWEET.

I set up a new profile for UT using keystrokes instead of DirectX buttons and it works great. I am MUCH better with this thing.

Anyway, I slightly tweaked the Q3A profile that was on the Saitek URL. It also uses keystrokes but Q3A doen't recognize that it is there. I am pointing to the correct drive & directory and executing quake3.exe. I am using the latest version (1.27g), DirectX8, and have Quake Team Arena installed. In the game I tried both joystick off and on - nothing! UT works great with joystick off. I am also using the latest version of Saitek's SGE (2.3) for DirectX8.

Is there a console command that needs to be entered for this thing to work with Q3A?

I have been having this problem with every game I try. The solution is to look at the setups they are using and just programming a new one from scratch. I'm not sure why it isn't working by importing but its a workaround that isn't all that bad. I have yet to use the standard button setup for anything yet.
