I put 12 hours into it in 2 days and have been hesitating on taking new missions because I just don't want it to end. A friend and I messed around in co-op for a few hours and it was a blast. I'll probably only put a couple hours in over the next couple days, but will surely finish it over the long weekend.

Took me 25 hours to get 100% not including stealing all the cars. That got me up to level 50, which was really helpful for the last few missions. That makes it 4 times as long as mw3 which I should have rented.

Well, I finished it. Meh ending. I found the storyline really lacking, not that I was expecting much of a story. But I felt that the cut scenes cut off too fast, the whole Gat thing didnt translate well and once I found the BEAR vehicle early in the game it pretty much made getting to level 50 real easy. Save a few million bucks and you are super invincible. Love the game but I really dont understand WTF DID THEY NOT LET YOU BE ABLE TO REPLAY MISSIONS AFTER YOU FINISH THE GAME?!?!?! No excuse.

I just rented this since it's surprisingly still $60. I will admit it's entertaining, but like the last two the horrendous and inexplicable screen tearing is present and in full force along with constant framerate drops. The game doesn't even look good enough to run so badly. It's not like there are advanced AI routines or something in the background eating resources. It's always a bad sign when there's a vsync option in a console game.

I want to like it, but the performance issues are difficult to overlook, and pull me out of the action.

A VSynch option? What version are you playing? On the 360 it looks and plays great, MUCH better than the other 2. I played thru twice and have noticed no tearing or slow downs at all.

I just beat this last night. LOTS of fun, but I didn't do much of the side activities. Stealing cars isn't challenging in the least, the assassinations were easy too. I HATE the big brutes, but in the last couple of missions it wasn't so much of an issue anymore. I don't think I even hit 50 or upgraded my last stronghold all the way. My favorite achievement was testicular manslaughter.

I did notice a couple of times it took a performance hit, but it went away after a minute.

I hit level 50 early on in the game and it pretty much made playing the rest extrememly easy. With all the updates to all weapons and abilities I am pretty much superman. Still makes for some funny scenes.

I picked this up on boxing day. Won't get an opportunity to play it until I go back to my place after new years. I really want to play it though, it's just sitting on the table calling my name.

I tried it, I just can't get into it, the story is shallow and the gameplay just feels wrong to me. Overall I just don't like it.

So I finally got a chance to play through the story a bit and I have to say that I really enjoyed SR2 a lot more. The story feels rushed and sloppy. Some of the cut scenes just end mid-sentence and I find that I'll be playing a mission somewhere and then suddenly I'm in a cut scene in a completely different area/time with no explanation.

And why are the pistols the only weapons which seem to do any damage? Sometimes I find myself shooting enemies in the face 5+ times, and these are just regular goons. The assault rifle feels like a BB gun. I suppose they need to make them really weak in the beginning so that once you get the upgrades they aren't ridiculously overpowered.
