I picked two up this afternoon, after reading your post. It is by far some of the worst graphics since Perfect Dark. I know games are more than graphics but these are unbearably bad. Like, first gen xbox bad.
GTA IV is the only game I've ever lent to a friend and refused to let him give it back to me. It actually annoys me to have the disc in my home, a constant reminder that I actually paid money for that overrated turd.

this game looks a million times more fun than GTA4.
(although all saints row were more fun than GTA4)
What does your post have to do with the OP?
I tried playing SR2 and the graphics sucked and controls were clunky. I guess I'll give it another shot.
The thing is, the graphics are sub-par. The controls felt alright to me, driving horrid. But man, it was fun to fuck around for a while. Only thing I didn't exactly like doing was story missions (as in the actual story, the missions were actually fine).
see, I'm the opposite. I just want to play through the story without having to do side activities to "fill up the bar". I want to do those after I finish the game. I don't like racing, don't force me to race.
SR3 looks awesome. Whenever I play sandbox games, I spend more time screwing around and seeing what I can get away with than actually doing missions. It's nice to see a game that encourages that type of gameplay.
one of the things I dislike about SR2 is the "now you see it, now you don't" car mechanic.
I stand at a corner looking around for a car, see one and look around to see a better car. Turnaround? Car is gone. poof.
That's in pretty much every sandbox game ever made. All GTA games have done that, LA Noire does it, pretty sure mafia 2 did it. LA Noire was the worst though, and it sucked cause one of the achievements was the drive every car and some were really rare. You could be standing right next to it and it would disappear.
In a lot of games, you can just tilt the camera straight down to the street and drive and no cars will spawn because you're not looking at them.
Related: I fucking HATE it when a game refuses to spawn cars because you're on foot. That pisses me off to no end.
Went and picked up SR2 today. Have it on PC, but tried to play it last night and it is god awful on there. So time to get my fix before 3!
