Saints Row 2

Yeah, the game is old, I know, but I just got a PS3 and I finally got another game besides MW2. Well.....I played for about an hour last night....

I am kind of disappointed. This game just feels like a glorified GTA game. Do I give this more time? Maybe I should have just got the PC port of it?

The other game I got was Fall Out 3. WIll I be disappointed with that game?

game is great. dont take it serious. the story is stupid.

its fun cause you can do a ton of dumb stuff that is entertaining. i liked it better than gta. but if you are playing for story you will be let down

my favorite moment was when i got to go around spraying people and building with shit for the first time.

Same here.

Play it, its a MUCH better game than GTA4, about on par with San Andreas (my fav GTA game) and is just damn fun.

I didn't find it all that entertaining. It's not BAD but after playing GTA the graphics looked awful and I just didn't give a shit about everything happening. Put a couple hours in before I gave it back to the roommate.

GTA4 was superior in lots of ways, but SR2 has the zany factor, and that is what makes it great. Spraying shit on buildings and running around on an ATV with a flame suit on is just plain fun.

I liked it but once I was finished with the story I found it hard to go back. The mini games can be fun on the early levels but get frustrating later, and fighting cops is just way too easy. I also absolutely hate the rep system. If I want to go ahead and continue the story, I shouldn't be forced to play a bunch of mini games so that they can make the game longer.

I still go back and play GTA4 all the time though.

rep? rep was only slow for like the first hour. then i didnt even notice it again. i never had issues getting main story missions due to it.

I liked SR 2 more than gta4. But no, it wasn't for the story.

Nothing about the game is realistic. From the ground up, it was made with fun in mind. Some of the missions were easy, some were hard, but they were generally all fun.

Of course, the most fun I had with the game was when I got a couple of friends in coop mode. Usually we'd try to actually work on the story together, but end up doing stupid stuff and attracting the police, and then spend the rest of the night causing mayhem 😀
