Even though I'm sure he's already obscenely rich, I see his point of view. He is not suing for absurd 'damages' only for his money back. I would agree with this lawsuit.

Hmm, Turley has a point. They're just words at this point though. I probably would have taken my oral arguments to the league before I took them to ESPN.
BTW Dedpuhl, Big Tymers rock!

He's suing the wrong organization. The Saints issued the fine, not the NFL. At least, that's according to Kornheiser and Wilbon 🙂

What the heck did Sapp have to do with this discusion. Sapp (think of him what you want) is a great player. Did he do something against the rule of the game? Nope! think about it... would he have not continued to play and the guy that had the ball made another brake but get stoped by the guy that got leveled... well guess who would have been first on blaming Sapp for not playing 100% of the time?!
So let it reast already!

If hitting a guy on a blind side, causing him to become injured and lose work is within the rules of a game, maybe the rules of law should be applied instead. See what a jury says.
OJ cutting off his wife's head was ok to a bunch of dumb jurists in LA, but another jury decided he should still be held financially responsible for her death. Just because you get away with something doesn't mean you can't be sued for the damage you caused.

Descression of the official will win the day here for the NFL. Not only were there different officals at different games, each incident calls for the offical to make a judgement call.

This is football not table tennis.
