Saiga-12

I got at 12 gauge AK to go along with my regular AK.

I got it last week, and tested it out and had fun. Going to get it pistol grip converted later on, and going to get a 10 round magazine.

I was going to order it from atlanticfirearms.com but they said they were sold out and probably wouldnt get more till June. So I went to Impactguns.com they cost about $40 more but they had one in stock so I took that one.

Getting kind of hard to fine one at the moment, not enough supply to meet demand.

I'm probably going to send it to someone to get converted. Probably just going to use a regular black polymer buttstock, and maybe SAW type pistol grip.

I sort of want to make it a bit tacticool, and get a railed forend, so I can mount a verticle foregrip, and a light.

Later on when I have more money I may also look into getting an electronic sight of some sort for it, althought on a shotgun it probably is not needed, but I guess I could put it on my other AK too.

You could probably do all the work with a dremel and some other basic tools. It'd save you a lot of money, especially if you were thinking of sending it to Tromix. They do good work, but it's expensive. A red dot on a Saiga 12 might not be a bad idea. I wouldn't go all out on say an EOTech though. Have you thought about putting some kind of ghost ring sights on it? They're pretty popular on combat style shotguns.

I wish I could find one. I have been searching for a nice one for a while now, with no luck.

My Mossberg 590a1 will have to do until then.

Please tell me you have a bayonet mounted on that thing.

I have a bayonet for it, but it is not currently mounted on the mossberg. :D

I got a Saiga-12 recently too. It's an excellent firearm and I am very glad I decided to purchase one.

There is a great online community dealing with Saiga weapons found here

Also be sure to check out all the things you can have done to your Saiga shotgun through Tromix website found here. (click SAIGA SHOTGUNS on the left menu to see all the mods available)

Unfortunately for me I live in New York which has irrational gun laws so I cannot do the pistol grip conversion on my weapon.
