I just finished this book a few weeks ago. Typical Dirk Pitt from Cussler. He even wrte himself into the book! It kept my attention, but no way it can be a good movie.

Edit: Now that i read the cast list, there are characters that weren't even in the book. And the story line doesn't even follow. Wierd....

cussler writes himself into all gis book i think.

he was a rich old guy in a yaht in valhalla rising and ran a diner in inca gold. i'm just starting night probe but i'm willing to bet he'll be in there somewhere.
