The card in there is a Radeon Mobility 7500...
In the past, typically Sager has offered "upgrades"; however, not in the fashion you are speaking. The upgrade consists of replacing the entire board itself, the lower part of the casing. Believe a new AC Adapter is required as well. The cost of this procedure in the past has been roughly $800.00, and takes a few weeks to complete. Often is the case where the previous components are no longer compatible/not as ideal (processor, ram, etc), in which case additional components would be necessary at an additional cost.
The only viable upgrade path for the NP8880 would be to an NP8890, which Sager has now retired from its product lineup. When conversing with Sager, did they mention anything at all regarding an upgrade of this type? Is certainly possible they did not, as the NP88xx series has been phased out, as mention above.
Edit: Thread regarding upgrades of this type can be found
here.
