Sager Notebooks: Any good?

I'm considering purchasing a Sager Notebook. Has anyone purchased a notebook either directly or indirectly from them? Are they any good?

Thanks

Never bought one but they look good to me. When I get a new laptop I will probably get one of them.

RockDog,
I was thinking of getting one, too. Did you do it?

I hear that they are an OEM manufacturer of laptops for some companies (Dell & Quantex come to mind).

Any info that you gained (looks slim from here) would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi There,

When our company was first starting, we bought a Sager notebook to do demos of our product -- our experience was extremely good, to sum it all up. We got a Celeron 466 processor and 198MB RAM with a 15" LCD screen for just over $2000 (this was a little over a year ago). To get a "name brand" machine, it would have cost us more than $3500.

The only drawback has been the machine's weight, but that hasn't been a big deal for us. We even got NT working, but it came with Windows 98 installed.

Good luck!

P.S. We ordered directly from them, and that worked out great.
