Just wondering what opininons people have on Sager notebooks. It's like Alienware (mm, beefy) but hundreds less. Also, where do you buy them? At sagernotebooks.com, it's waaay more expsensive than, say, discountlaptops.com, but if Sager handles the warranty themselves then is this really an issue?

It's not like Alienware, it is an Alienware ;). I tried explaining this to several people in my dorm, they all say I am full of it. Oh well, they are the ones loosing out on the money.

Anyways, nice computer, but it gets hotter than other laptops if you get teh high end ones. If you never will unplug from teh outlet, it is a nice laptop to have. I am really not a fan of non mobile chips in mobile computers, but with the advent of them, they seem to be acceptable to all but the travalers or semi-travalers. My advice, wait a week b/c the new intel mobile chip will be out by then.

I have one and like it as a desktop replacement for occational travel. Looking back I would rather have a small form desktop with LCD and a slower and much lighter laptop for travel. Only problem I've had in over 6 months is the MP3 player isn't working for me. Just to lazzy to do anything about it yet.

I'm thinking about selling mine.
