I know someone who has one and it has a few problems. I'm not sure whether or not I would recommend them. One thing you should know is they usually use desktop CPU's. That is why they are so cheap but that also means they run hot and have terrible battery life. The battery life is the worst I have seen. I tried a NEW one with a Li-Ion battery (it normally comes with a NIMH but it was upgraded) and it only ran 1:45. That is pretty bad. I would hate to see it with a NIMH battery.

Just keep those things in mind when shopping. BTW, when I was looking at laptops I looked at them too.

Yes, Sager laptops use destop chips. Don't buy one. If you want a cheap, but still decent laptop, go for a Dell. Wow, 1:45 is not too bad for running on a desktop chip. The early sony Duron laptops that had no power management ran for only 45 mins. Can't believe sony would do such a thing.

Sager's are cheap, but may have problems. My buddy had one that died after only 6 months. You may save money with them, but you won't get as good a warrenty as you will with dell. With laptops, warrenties are a question of "if" but "when". Dell's 3 year warranty is pretty good.
