im planning on getting a safety deposit box... i was wondering when you fill out a form to get one, do you list like people who you want to get the stuff in the box if you die or something?
 
Yes there is usually a "beneficiary list" similiar to a life insurance policy.

Call or visit your bank and ask them. Yes that requires physical contact with other human beings 😱
