I have a P4 2.8C processor and want to overclock to the max.
What it the safest top voltage do you think you can give these processors and not have it fry.
Also what temperature should I aim to be below?

Thanks

I'm also looking for this information.. I have a p4 2.4B in a P4P800 Deluxe, stable up to 2.9ghz but when I try 3.0 it will reboot on me a couple of minutes after it's turned on.

I have the voltage at 1.70 now, but have no idea what the maximum safe voltage is. The CPU temp stays at 27 celsius even at 1.7 volts so I'm thinking I can go higher, but want to be safe about it.

Good thing your at 1.70 It's maximum recommended for Northwood from what I've read on Forums. 800FSB = Northwood correct ?

Jond I have no idea what you are talking about man....Northwood is either the northBRIDGE, which is the memory controller hub on the chipset, or ....I have no idea! lol...anyways, as long as your temps stay low as they seem to be, raise your vcore up to a max of about 1.85 (though I wouldn't raise mine that high...about 1.75 should be tops), and see what your temps are like under full load (prime95 torture)...if they aren't above 60 or so you are good to go!

1.75 is pretty high ... its not just the temps that matter. a voltage that high slowly starts frying the components and reduces their lifetime.
