Thinking of buying the 7 inch kindle as a Bluetooth music device, live in Iowa and it gets cold. My Nexus only has 32 gig storage and I have a 128 g card, so is it reasonable to think it would survive in my car?
It's not really the cold that is the problem. The problem is what happens when you take that cold device and introduce it into a warm environment. It will immediately be coated with condensation, just like your windows get coated when you warm the car up. It will probably be ok as long as it warms up slowly, but ultimately I suspect it will fail within 100 cycles.
I just want to find a cheap device that will accept a 128g card, doesn't have to be pretty, it would stay in my center console. Unfortunately, my toyota won't read anything more than 255 files in each folder.
