Safest/best way to mail in a MIR?

A question of paranoia perhaps, but if one had a HUGE rebate and assuming that one has double, even triple checked that all required material is enclosed in an envelope, what's the best way to ensure it arrives at the rebate center? Send the mail certified or whatever it is that requires a signature? Or is it enough to simply put it in one's mailbox outside one's house?

I can't tell you how many times I've been ripped off on MIRs. My advice: don't bother. I'm still waiting on a $200 MIR from DirectTV. Been waiting 4 months for a rebate. Considering legal action now. Bastards won't give it up eventhough they owe it to me.

You could go to the post office and send it Priority w/ Delivery Confirmation. It'll cost you $4 or so though.

The best way to mail-in a MIR? That's easy! Just place your stamped envelope in the mail chute, wait until your in orbit above its destination and launch it back down to Earth. WARNING: Do not attempt this if your spacelab is attempting atmospheric reentry...

Staple the items in the envelope together? They never ask for that, but that's a good idea! I copy all the items, but what good is a copy if they wanted the "original" of a particular item? Like your sig Elemental and good one uncJIGGA. :)

don't staple.. sometimes they don't like that. i paperclip instead. also i keep a copy of everything i send in case they want to d*ck around with my rebate. if all else fails contact the BBB and FTC and they will be s**king on your d**k to get the federalies off their ass.

I followed directions explicitly and got ripped off anyway. The Maxtor ATA 100 card. Called Maxtor themselves and got the rebate a week later from them. Kudos to Maxtor
