Hello.

I just got a black LCD monitor and there is some glue residue from the protective covering for the screen on the black bezel. I tried wiping it, but it just smears around. Does anyone know of something safe to use on black plastic to remove the residue, but not the die in the plastic? I would use Goo gone, but I think it would discolor the plastic. Any ideas?

TIA,

Sal

Goo gone works wonders for me.

EDIT: but I'm not sure about discoloration.

Goo gone will work and will not mess with the dye on plastic. Though, if it's painted black that would be anothers tory.

In my experience, isopropyl alcohol hardly ever does anything to adhesive residue. Most of the time it just moves it around...

It's always worked for me Jugernot, perhaps you aren't using enough?
