Safely Hot Swap?

How do you do it? I've searched and only came up with the sata controller has to support it also once you plug in the drive you go to safely remove hardware in windows and remove it. However this is my problem when I plug in my drives they detect and work fine but in Win 7 they aren't showing up in safely remove in task bar. Can I just pull them out of my Haf X when done?

Actually I'm not, I am using Intel SRT and am in Raid. But was under the impression(think I read it somewhere) it had the same features as AHCI. If thats not the case then I have to choose whether I want to use the features of my new case or Intel SRT?

I thought Vista/W7 only allowed hot swapping while using AHCI. Maybe you need a fix or patch or some such if the features are the same?
