I might attempt the memory vmod again on my 7900Gt's. I ALMOST killed one of my cards doing it but luckly I didn't die and I got it to work again.

I'm basically hit a wall at 1620mhz and that's completly stable, but since my core speed is 700mhz+ I get a little memory bandwidth limited (lost ~500 3dmark's in 06, even worse with AA and AF).

So before I attempt it "again", just want to know some of your experiences with the memory vmod and some pointers on how to do it right and to some degree, safe.

I'm still deciding whether or not to do it, but try not to post stuff like "don't do it, it's too dangerous". Cause I relise that it's dagerous, almost burned out a card.

I'm also a little scared to try a memory vmod on mine.

Post some results if you find a safe way to do it!

i mem vmodded mine with a number 2 pencil and a multimeter. been runnin solid as a rock at 1950mhz since the day the 7900gt came out (plus 3 days for shipping ;) i have the mem runnin at ~2.23-4 volts and seems to work great. no arts no corruption nothin. i do have a zalman vf900cu and all copper ocz ramsinks on it as well. runs at a cool 34-35 idle and 50-55 load depending on room temps. just thought i would throw in my own experience to maybe help in ur decision. done several of these so if ya have any questions shoot me a pm.
