Safe voltages for AMD 64 3400+?

I see people freaking out over 1.60-1.65 Vcores for this processor, but is it merely a worry about case temperatures? At those voltages, I can actually push my OC a bit further (not Prime95 stable yet though). My CPU idles low 30s.

Not for a newcastle...the stock is 1.5v so even if you employ a modest 10% rule you should go up to 1.65v...some more with precautions may take it higher...

Sckt 939 90nm chips are more fragile and have a lower stock vcore of 1.4v so 10% rule would say dont exceed 1.54v with a few with top notch air taking it up to 1.6v and not many except water cooler and vapo chillers go any higher....

Newcastles are 130nm process and able to go a bit higher safely...

Actual??? With excellent air cooling or water cooling....not stock cooler...I still say 1.65v is the safe limit...
