"safe" voltages for a 2.8C??

i'll be getting my 2.8C/IS7/PC4000 tomorrow. what is a safe voltage when overclocking??? i will be using AS3 and a thermalright slk-947. thanx

With a P4 adding voltage once you reach a wall will only give you a few hundred mhz more,not really worth it in my opinion.

Personaly I would never go over 1.60v,some say 1.7v is fine it really depends on the mobo too,Asus tends to overvolt while Abit undervolts,but killing a chip over a few mhz just isnt worth it for me. ;)

Intel says don't go over 1.6V. But it is irrelevant anyway since the CPU will throttle once it goes to high anyway. It is not like with AMD where you can push untill it burns. Pentiums don't burn that way, they burn after extended usage beyond specifications. So I guess 1.6V would be the voltage you would like to stay at.
