safe voltage for OCing 1.8A Northwood?

I've got mine running at 2.4 ghz. It was locking up in 3D accerlated games at 1.575v, so I upped the voltage to 1.6v. Is this still within what's considered a safe zone? And just out of curiosity, what's is generally accepted to be the highest safe voltage for one of these CPUs? Thanks.

Your voltage is still OK, as long as it is the reported voltage in MBM; and not the set voltage in BIOS.

Northwoods feel fine up to 1.7V with air-cooling (real, not in BIOS - this is important since some boards are overvolting - ASUS is the best example for that).
