Safe to use this?

Is it safe to use this often to power a couple portable dvd players off of in a car? Is it safe for the car and/or players? Any risks?

My dad and I used that exact thing for a dvd player, laptop, and something else for our 12 hour trip to Canada, it worked just fine for us.
