Bought the $199 emachines desktop on BF for a cousin of mine.

Need to ship it to him and was wondering if you guys think I will be ok with shipping them in the boxes they came in?

I can get a pic if needed. There is styrofoam around the desktop and LCD.

Not sure if I trust ups/fedex.

That's how Dell ships IIRC. Just make sure you get enough insurance to cover a replacement. Should be fine.

no. when you have a case-size box, people can throw it around... hard drive, optical drive, and various parts can come loose. i think it'd be ok when they ship it to the store as a pallet. i'd take everything apart and ship separately. (or put things into little boxes and stuff case with packing peanut and ship the case box)

Yeah, it's so much easier to throw around large case-size boxes than boxes the size of Hard Drives. You've got an excellent point there.

WTF?!?!?
