Safe Temperature - 6950 2gB?

What's max safe temp? (load, obviously. The 26c idle difference has me worried what it will get up to on load.)

You'd want to keep the max temps under 90c for any extended period of time. Hitting 95c might be ok if it's just for a brief moment, but that's really pushing it. As for the difference in idle between his two cards, it's from being in Crossfire where the bottom card has more access to fresh cool air compared to the top.

Probably because the bottom card has 2 fans and the top card has 1 fan.

I know I should turn it around, but I don't have a Regular displayport cable, only a mini. The second card doesn't have a mini DP.

Looking at pictures of OP's motherboard, there is very little room between the two PCI-E slots. The top card is only going to get heated air coming off of the top of the bottom card.

For a multi-monitor setup, those temps are absolutely in the normal range. One card is being clocked up and the other is not.

Your cards will not be damaged from temperature alone. Only worry about temps if its throttling or making too much noise.
