Safe Overclocking P5B/E6600

Hello,

I just got a E6600 and a P5B DX.

Memory:- Geil 2GB CAS 4 PC6400 at 800MHZ
Case: Antec P180
Video: x1950xtx

I am using the intel stock fan and the 3 Antec fan in the case are at low level.

I want to safely overclock just a little bit my CPU.

Could you please let me know what would be your recommendation?

I'm really not looking into breaking a new OC record but just getting a bit more from my kit.

Thanks,
David

Thanks for the quick response.

Appreciate the help.

My understanding of FSB is limited so i just want to make sure I understood the right thing:
- Setting vcore voltage to 1.4v
- Setting FSB to 333
- Setting ratio to 9

Am I right?

However, I'm not too sure about the memory settings. Can you confirm?

Thanks

ummm switch to a $50 heatsink like scythe infinity, tower 120, zalman 9500

then u can OC ur E6600 to 3.6GHz without worrying a thing

Thanks all.

Markymoo - 'set memory to 666'. What do you mean? Switch the DRAM frequency to DDR2-666? Why?

Do you think I could also increase safely the PCI Express Frequency a bit?

Thanks
