The Baltimore Sun:
Today:
Other than Wisconsin, every state appears to have met a deadline in federal law that essentially means Congress has to accept the electoral votes that will be cast next week and sent to the Capitol for counting on Jan. 6. Those votes will elect Joe Biden as the country’s next president.

It’s called a safe harbor provision because it’s a kind of insurance policy by which a state can lock in its electoral votes by finishing up certification of the results and any state court legal challenges by a congressionally imposed deadline, which this year is Tuesday.

It looks like it is over for Trump. Except for the Republicans claiming Biden never won the Election. How can we end the insanity of Biden not winning?

They will not accept that Biden has won at least until the electoral college votes and then a bunch of them won’t accept it even then.

They will do the same thing with Biden that they did with Obama - try and paint him as an illegitimate president. I can hear them now - ‘if President Biden says he didn’t take office due to fraud I believe him, but the fact remains there are lots of unanswered questions about 2020’.

So what you're saying is.... by tomorrow, the election fight moves to federal court.

That's hardly the end of it. Example: Texas asks Supreme Court to upend election...

Republicans will never let this go.
Funny how quickly Republicans went from:
1) 'we need the electoral college to preserve the power of states' to

2) 'the federal government should take away the votes of states'.

As predicted and as always, their defense of state power lasted exactly as long as it was useful for getting them what they wanted.

I'm just curious as to what standing Texas has in objecting to how any other state conducts its elections.

This lawsuit will be thrown out immediately or just ignored by SCOTUS. It is just virtue signaling by the Texas AG who might be angling for a pardon from Trump.

Well in this case vice signaling but you get the point.

Texas does not. This is Kraken 2.0 a political gambit to do two things, first to get cult supporters to back a corrupt AG and 2. Get in good graces to get a preemptive pardon for federal crimes.

The Criminal AG is acting essentially alone and has hired outside counsel to do this. The Texas Solicitor General wants no part of this case because well he’s currently good standing and isn’t accused of any crimes.

And the SCOTUS just declined to hear the moronic PA lawsuit trying to cause all of PA's electorates invalid, a FATAL BLOW to trump-fucking-tards.

Honestly the courts should start handing out sanctions to these people. These are not good faith lawsuits and they shouldn’t be treated as such.
