I used Firefox until about a year ago, when I switched to Safari and never looked back. Safari 4 is so much faster and lightweight than the bloated creature Firefox has become.

Not a big fan of Firefox on OSX. Safari is good, but i actually prefer Chrome on all platforms now.

i was using safari for years until a few weeks ago, when i switched to firefox. i love safari for its clean look, fast speeds, and a no-nonsense browser. however, i just got sick of its lack of extensions and poor flash performance. i hesitated to use firefox from the beginning because of...how bad it looked on osx. seriously. recently, my friend showed me a theme for firefox called grapple yummy, and...lol i switched as a result.

Same here! Went from XP|FF then OSX|Safari now OSX|Chrome

Never liked firefox on OSX and well with the WebKit browsers I have no reason to use the bloatedness of firefox on any computer

I guess i just got used to them from the Safari 4 beta... I don't even notice it anymore

lmao the first thing i did was find out about the "secret" menu hidden in the safari 4 beta and change the tabs from the top to the bottom...

Safari, I have never noticed any flash difference between Safari and Firefox, and with Inquisitor, Glims, ClickToFlash, and SafariAdBlock I am happy.

I use Safari. I also use IE on Windows. Back during IE6, I would install Firefox for tabs, but once IE7 landed with tabs I didn't have a use for FF anymore. It was always slower than IE for me.

I would like to use Chrome but, like secretanchitman, just can't STAND the tabs being on the top. I don't know what it is but it just looks fugly to me. I might download Chrome and give it another spin because I only tried the very first Beta they released publicly.

And the top tabs looked especially horrible in Windows. They might look better in OS X.

EDIT: I had, for a while, used Camino. It seemed to work better than Firefox.

chrome for anything google related. safari for everything else nearly. firefox for serious websites or shopping online.

I am not fond of the UI of Chrome on OS X. The tabs on top aren't that big of a problem, but the rest of it feels... off. Not as bad as default Firefox, but still.

Agreed. Not to mention it still just feels very beta-y.

The only thing I wish I could do in Safari that I can do in Firefox with Firebug, or Chrome by default.. is inline CSS/JS editing. By this, I mean, I can open Chrome, Inspect an Element and edit (in real-time) the HTML/CSS, etc.. or the webpage. I can add elements to divs and properties to my CSS. I wish Safari supported that. Safari can edit already defined elements, but you can't create new ones.. not to my knowledge anyway.

I think FF kind of sucks in OSX compared to PC, the only reason I used it was because I needed one of its plugins for a browser game I was playing. When the game ended I switched to Safari and feel is is MUCH better.
