Saddam paranoia... when America attacks

Saddam will do something in retaliation after America invades Iraq. What will be the first thing he does?

1. Release small pox on his own population to taint the victory
2. Activate terrorist cells in America
3. Launch scud missiles or the like at Isreal
4. Blow up his own oilfields
5. Flee the country

Basically Saddam knows he would get pummelled so he would want as many innocent people to die. Plus he'll want to destroy an economic factors that could assit a rebuilding Iraq.

Now how can he launch scud missiles.... I believe that is covered under the ban of WMD's since it has a long range and can carry nukes or chemical/biological weaponary, which the Iraqi leadership says they do not have

Second, as he is not a terrorist as far as anyone knows, so he has no "cells" to activate

Attack against Israel is likely.

Blowing up oilfields is possible.

Flee? He ought to do that before any of the above, best for everyone. After the shooting starts, it may be tricky getting out.

If that is the case, it needs to be more than someone in Iraq once spoke to someone from a terrorist group. If that is the evidence, then you had better blow up half the region in a hurry, a plan that many here seem to advocate. Like you said, I will wait and see, but I will look at anything presented with a critical eye.

An attack on Israel 100% likely as well as is the destruction of oilfields. I think I recall Saddam stating exactly this sometime in recent history. Poisoning his own people, doubtful, as is activating any terrorist cells. Fleeing the country is what he'll have to do if he can keep from getting his neck wrung by his own generals once the shooting starts.

I doubt he has any terrorist cell control. Perhaps he could set a rally cry to the terrorists leaders to start something up, but I doubt it based upon interviews I've read over the years, nobody really likes him nor wants to be dictated to by this madman, not even terrorists.

Sounds like alot of people believe Saddam will harm his own people to spoil the American victory.

Could that stem from the modern Iraqi army being striated into a rigid centralized structure similar to the Nazis of WW2?
