I can already predict the Liberals response.

This doesn't prove anything! (The liberal response to just about any fact that contradicts what they believe)

Liberals have so much emotional investment in Bush-Hating that anything that contradicts their beliefs just has to be wrong!

Read it and weep.

Well if I were Sadam and I was on Al Qaeda's hit list I definately would want somebody there at those meetings to see if I was going to get blown up in the near future!

At least we can agree your feckless leader is a liar, given that he's said there was no connection. We just disagree on what he's lied about.

BINGO! If Bush himself said there was no connection, exactly whose point are you trying to prove?

Is this a variation on the "2 degrees of separation from Kevin Bacon" game? Or just the weekly standard frothing up the faithful?

What does Bush himself have to say about it?

"I can't make that claim."

From here-

http://www.thememoryhole.org/war/no-saddam-qaeda.htm

Which, of course, should be the end of it, but No! The uber right is defending positions the Admin abandoned long ago...

Repetition is the key to indoctrination, apparently.

Nothing new here, folks.

Did you read the article? There are quite a few references, not just the one you point out.

This post absurd in many ways and is no different than the following:

Title: Scientists discover Bush is a gay sh*t-eating cockroach from outspace hiding in a human carcass

I can predict the conservatives response.

"This doesn't prove anything. (The conservative reponse to just about any fact that contradicts what they believe)

Conservatives have so much investment in cockroach loving that anything that contradict their beliefs just has to be wrong!

Read it and weep.

Only if by facts you mean wild conjecture, rhetoric, and unfounded claims.
Yes, I believe that is the official Bush administration definintion of "facts". Anyone remember, "These are facts, not assertions."?

That's the Bushies in a nutshell: wrong is right, down is up, bad is good, Bush is God.

Cool  , just goes more in line with my prediction of we eventually just turning the whole sand region into glass. That ought to do the trick, right? Then you'd be happy

The sad thing is, because Proctologist is such an asswad, even if he found something worth posting I wouldn't read it.

The Shakir story is perhaps the government's strongest indication that Saddam and al Qaeda may have worked together on September 11. It is far from conclusive; conceivably there were two Ahmed Hikmat Shakirs. And in itself, the evidence does not show that Saddam Hussein personally had foreknowledge of the attacks. Still--like the long, on-again-off-again relationship between Iraq and al Qaeda--it cannot be dismissed.

Far from conclusive you say? Yup, HS this proves nothing.

Where did HS go?

Since he posted it, it obviously is right. I'm hoping he can come back and explain the Al Qaeda-Iraq link to us.

Strange that Berg and Mousuai were aquainted in the past and now Berg was killed by al-qaeda?

Why would you believe anything from our government? If politicians told the truth and acted in the best interest of the country, our current political structure wouldn't be needed.

I've heard about this Al Qaeda ghost before, if someone could provide news links for the lazy, it would be much appreciated.
