So I was at my mother's house today, in the town where I used to live.
I drove by the old bar that used to be my local watering hole, and where I have met many very good friends.
A few years ago new owners took it over, and started to build a new place behind it.
well.. yesterday they bulldozed the old place, I have many happy memories from times spent in there.
The new place is very modern and ugly. I nicknamed the place Cheers, because I could walk in there on
any day of the week and know 8 out of 10 people in the place. I never had to worry about anyone messing with me in there.
The place had been a local landmark for many years and now it is reduced to a pile of rubble.
Truly a sad day for me and a lot of my friends.
