News Story

My family (mainly my parents) were very close with this couple and went out to dinner with them 3-4 times per week. Not more than 10 minutes before the accident occurred my parents and the Richards had just finished dinner. :(

As a tribute my parents went out with all of the kids and grandkids (only a few of which they had ever met) and did a restaurant crawl. They visited all the places the Richards would go on a weekly basis. My father was even asked to speak at their funeral by members of their family he had never met.

sad...but at least they didnt die in their sleep or from some disease...i cant think of a better way to go than crashing at high speeds (well, they prolly werent going fast, i mean like 200+ mph) ...well...maybe skydiving w/o chute...but...i dunno, maybe my prefered way isnt as practical as others :p

by the sounds of it the driver must've had a heart attack/stroke.

That is what early reports are saying. :(

Very sad, even more so that they made it to their 80's and went because of this.

I live in houston and grew up partially in that area. It makes me sad to know something horrible happened there. At least they went together, I would hate to live without my spouse at that age. I'm sorry for your loss.
