I always hated that episode. Because it's so damn good, but dammit I hate sadness in Fresh Prince. That shows supposed to make me laugh at stereoty..... funny stuff.

That show kicks so much ass. And yeah Will was awesome in that scene.

The other time it was sad that I remember is when Will was on speed to study for exams and Carleton took a whole bunch by accident thinking they were vitamin E pills.

Fresh Prince is one of the best sitcoms of all time.

I don't typically like his acting, but that scene's a tear jerker. That show was mostly goofy, but they did have a really serious episode every now and again. This was one of them.

He was AWFUL early in that show, but he grew into a pretty good actor. And from a couple of people who know him, he's a pretty good man too.

other time I thought it was sad was when will got shot and then carlton became really angry and had a gun with him. will screamed at him and told him to leave it in the bed at the hospital

Will Smith is one of very few actors who can be the ONLY actor on screen for a movie (read: I am Legend) and carry the movie. Not particularly great in anything other than Will's performance.

I never really got into Fresh Prince when I was growing up (21 now), but that was a very well done scene by Will. Very sad...

I am Legend is a good example of his acting abilities. Though I think he did a lot of carrying in Independance Day too.

Aw man I remember when that came out. I don't remember what year, but I feel like I was ~12.... when they sliced the suit of the alien open and it popped out - WHEW man did I jump in the theater haha.

But yea - he really did do a lot of carrying in that movie as well.

I haven't seen the movie - but I have heard that Pursuit of Happiness is supposed to be flat out amazing.

I guess it's the only sad episode in it.
