Sacrifice won't run right on ATI cards!

I have been thinking about buying Sacrifice, and a X1800XT. Imagine my dismay when I found I cannot play Sacrifice well on an ATI card, with the same IQ as a nVidia card.

I've always wanted to try Sacrifice, and want to try a X1800XT, but how can I do it if ATI won't fix it?!?!?

I know this has probably been discussed before here, and on other forums, but as a potential ATI customer I have a RIGHT to see this get resolved before I spend my hard earned money on an ATI card?

Do you think they're working on it?

Is there a workaround in the config?!?!

Yeah I was about to upgrade to a 7800GTX untill I found out that Diakanta didn't run properly on it.

i was gonna buy 2 7800gtx's ocko super edition for $1200 just like you rollo. the x1800xt is the worst card everrr it can't even run pac man blah blah STOP CREATING STUPID ARGUEMENTS. we understand that you're loyal to your nvidia, but that doesn't mean you have to spend ever 10 minutes of your time telling people how bad ati is...

This is a video forum, and I'm noting a valid driver issue with a video game and a video card?

Isn't that the sort of thing the forum is for? I've seen other threads like this here?

I'm really hoping the members here can give me insight into this problem, so I can consider buying an ATI card.

Yep. I just placed my order for Sacrifice on Half.com, should get it soon.

I wonder if ATI will fix the driver issues with the game, so I can maybe consider buying one of their cards? Maybe they're still working on it?

Does anybody know?

Dude, it's no more ridiculous than a 1000 post rant on shadows being the wrong shape in a year and a half old game, and then a follow up thread.

Like I said, I just ordered Sacrifice. As a Sacrifice owner, and potential ATI owner, I want answers!

I have a suggestion for you. Don't buy a X1800XT. That'll save us from all the threads you'll make about how it sucks compared to your Nvidia cards. Seriously though, why would you want to buy one when you've done nothing but criticize ATI and the R520 cards for months now?

And how about providing some info on exactly what this problem is you're talking about in this thread. You've given nothing but a vague reference to some IQ problems.

I know.. I'm just dying to play Moto Racer and Turok :) Ahhh the good old 3dfx days, when there was no doubt as to who was king

(except for people like Rollo that probably insisted that the Riva 128 destroyed V2 SLI :D

People still buy play and enjoy farcry for the first time, when it first was released the requirements were too hefty for most casual/semi-casual gamers. As cards that can run it smoothly become affordable options interest in the graphical showcase Farcry, to a degree, remains consistant. That is why people still care about farcry IQ on their cards. I imagine that many people may not play FEAR for another year or so aswell.

Edit: I did like your joke though.

I aim to please Morph, and hope you can help me with this issue. I've bought one of every generation of ATIs flagship card for years now, so I've definitely considered trying a X1800XT.
