Well, Sacred 2 in its own right is quite a good game overall, its has its drawbacks however, one of them (at least for me) being that every single mobs scale in levels at the exact same pace than the player, which in the end makes leveling itself absolutely non-rewarding and somewhat senseless. You start at Level 1, of course, and all monsters around you are Level 1, that's already bad to start with, there are of course some exceptions where you'll see some "champion" at Level 2, or maybe 3, but that's it (outside of "bosses" of course).
When you get to Level 2, 90% of the monsters are Level 2, and so on and so on. My character is Level 21 right now, and all the monsters I first met outside of the starting monastery in the beginning are now Level 21, but I'm still playing in the exact same difficulty setting. I understand just why they decided to do that, but in practice it ain't rewarding much, other of course than to apply new skills to your characters, but the challenge remain roughly the same whether or not you advanced in Levels. And, also, the regular monsters don't acquire new skills or tactics when they level up, they just act as before when they were Level 1.
