There is a time in every dentist deprived adult's life where he finally gets his act together and decides that he no longer wants british teeth and to open himself up to all the insults that comes with adult braces.

That brings us to the question. Anyone in the Sacramento, CA area know of some good orthadontists? I had a consultation yesterday and would like to get some more opinions (as well as prices).

Any info would be appreciated, as you control my diet and happiness for the next 2-3 years (the rest of my life if you count retainers).

I used Dr. Frank on Cirby in Roseville for years, always a very pleasant experience. My teeth are still very very straight, and I'm terrible about wearing my retainers.

Iono, but he said since I'm older and my teeth are more set in their ways, I'd just have to be more responsible with my retainer then other people. :(

Nobody else with personal experience though? Just seeing if I'm getting ripped with his 4400-4600 initial quote.

On average, orthodontists are one of the highest paid professions in the US...there's the reason for that initial quote

I cannot help with a recomenation, however, i will say that getting braces was the best thing i/my parents could have EVER done for me. The few years you will have to wear them will be totally worth it.
Final word of advice... keep wearing your retainer as long as you can after you get them off. Even if its only at night.
Good luck, they don't hurt that bad, they take some getting used to, but they are worth it!
