Ok, this may not be of interest to most but having spent most of my career in SAC (USAF) I was disturbed when SAC was changed and eventually merged under AF Space Command of which I was also a part.

Text

Now, a nuclear focused command is back as it should be with a primary emphasis on the nuclear mission unlike in the recent past where that mission was buried.

I hope the rigourous inspection regime is brought back as well to eliminate the carelessness that has transpired over the last few years.

The article details two incidents in the recent past regarding nuclear components being mishandled.

I thought Goldwater's 1994 interview with Larry King about Wright-Patterson was very interesting.

sure you cant hey are on every news network. one of which was when a few nukes were flown to barkesdale afb and nobody knew they were being transported there. I worked around nukes when i was in the AF and to have a total lack of security and blatant disregard for DoE directives is totally inexcusable.

Another was certain parts mistakely flown to Taiwan. I was referring to the so called Roswell stuff that is supposedly stored at WPAFB. And making a joke of it.

This other stuff is open news and I can discuss.

I mean the U.S. brought them in for their own uses. Perhaps in case the Iran problem escalates. Just an opinion on my part.

You asked if we found any WMD in Iraq, and I answered yes, the U.S. has them there. Makes sense to me.
Now, I know you really meant WMD that Saddam had, but I was making a little joke there..

As for Bush, I have a hard time deciding who I dislike more, Obama or Bush
