Sabayon LiveCD won't boot

I downloaded the latest Sabayon LiveCD to test it out, when I try to book from it the Sabayon logo screen comes up and it's loading files and it gives me a prompt saying it can't find a bootable device and is asking me to local it. I can type shell and get to a prompt, but that's not what I want to do. I tried both the boot and the install, neither work (same problem)

ideas, I'm not super Linux savvy, would like to try Sabayon out have heard good things about it.

It's having problems finding the CD after the BIOS portion of the boot, what interface is the drive using?

IDE, the default IDE controller on my P35 MB, I Googled a bit and didn't find any thing that helped me figure out what this is. I use to run Redhat eons ago, and honestly my Linux skills are pretty weak so I don't have any clue what to even try to fix this. I picked Sabayon because it has the XGL built in and I can try out Beryl and the cool 3d stuff without any hassle directly from the LiveCD.

From the shell run 'lspci' and see what chipset the IDE controller is using, hopefully the command will be available in whatever it drops you.

I ran into this doing an install of debian on a intel board. they had some oddball controller for the single IDE. it would boot initially, but not be able to load the necessary files from the CD. I ended up using a USB drive that works well with linux.

It's probably one of those crap JMicron controllers now that I think about it. They've only been supported for like 1 or 2 kernel releases and there's a good chance the LiveCD's using an older release.

That was it for me. The IDE controller is an afterthought, and the systems are targeted for the SATA drives. The SATA controller is well supported, GRRR
