whoa....no way, that's so sweet! And the best part is that I might be able to convince my mom/dad to get one since they'll be able to use the GM discount on it. Hope it turns out well, I rather like the new 9-3s, and a 9-2 based on the WRX would kick ass.
Woohoo!!! FINALLY my plea for a AWD Saab is heard... heck, I don't even care if it's Saab's GM derived engines. They've been on the Euro market and racing circles long enough!!
this weill be sweet my dad has a 9-3 viggen and its fast as hell as it is i cant imagein this thing.. and since im supposedly getting a new car sometime soon, maybe can race him.. or have him get the 9-2 and give me the 9-3.... and before he gets here "shutup evil1 i am getting a new car"
I'd love to buy one used in 5 years. The resale value drops like a rock on these . I could have bought a 99 9-3 for about 15k with 36k miles on it. I'd be down in like 2007 picking one up coming off lease. I'm a firm believer in buying a used car. I want to see more pics of it.
is it using the same 2.0 in the WRX - if so howd they boost it to 300 hp - Subaru chose a 2.5 L in the US spec STI to hit 300 hp and meet emission standards

They didn't say that SAAB is using the Subaru engines. Currently, SAAB doesn't have a 2.5l, but they do have a 2.0T that makes 210 hp in the 9-3 Vector. I'm not sure what else they'd do to get that to 300, it's pretty strongly turboed now. SAAB 4s have always been good engines.
