It's pretty messed up that everyone jumped on the OP for buying a car he's obviously a little proud to own. If he'd said he was considering the purchase that would be one thing, but after the fact it's bad manners, in my opinion, to insult someone's choice of vehicle.

Is it good manners to start a post off with "you wankers"? Clearly the OP wasn't expecting straightforward "congrats". My comment on the 9-5 was not in response to the OP...but in response to someone saying it was a great car.

I've got a 2000 9-5 aero wagon, but it's an auto, it's still a pretty nice car though, everyone who gets into it is amazed by the cupholders. Here's a pic of it.

Yeah the cupholder is cool, but it is however almost useless, it can only fit a can or a <20oz fountain or water bottle.

Drove my buddy's 2000 Viggen. I'm sold on Saab. Cool fuckin cars.

There is a satisfaction to driving a car you don't see every day/week/ever.

Just so you know cup-holder is really more of a North American thing.

I know that, but its not the point

It's still nearly useless. I never even felt comfortable putting a .5 liter full water bottle in it. Always felt it would fly out or break on a fast turn

?
500cc water is a regular bottle of water no? it's fine.

I always felt it would fly out because one did once 😛

I definitely wouldn't want to put an open can of soda or coffee in a small fountain cup in one

never had that problem and I spent quite a bit of time in my buddy's 95 aero doing Toronto-NYC runs.

Really? I just don't get this. I do understand the appreciation of a unique engineering technology...but not just because the car looks "different". I would never drive a Reliant Robin just because I want to have something different. I totally could understand driving an RX-8 becasue of the unique engine.

I like the 512 oz softdrink cups they have at places that neck down to a 20 oz cup size at the base to fit in your slide out cup holders as if they can hold 100 lbs of top heavy liquid :awe:
