Saab 9-7X SUV Picture...another Trailblazer/Envoy/Bravada/Ascender/Rainier clone

Concept art always makes the car look like it's from the 2020's.. then you see it in real life and it looks like it's from the 1990's 😛

That's a Saab in name only. It's a decent platform and will probably help get the brand into the mainstream, but really... who want's a mainstream Saab?😕 The 9-3 is an awesome looking vehicle and fits the brand pretty well. The new sporty car based off the WRX should fit Saab as well, but a mid-sized SUV?

As a Mazda fan I would be severely dissapointed if Ford diluted what makes Mazda such a unique company. I can only imagine how dissapointing this vehicle must be to Saab enthusiasts. Then again these so-called "enthusiasts" are, in part, the reason why Saab has such a miniscule marketshare and lost so much money these past few years.

meh, I'm loving Saab right now, but I'll believe it when I see it. I love how our Trailblazer rides, and combined with Saab, hopefully it turns out well.

I wonder how GM will convert this platform to FWD and turbo-4cyl, because it just ain't a Saab without decent horsepower and massive torque steer.😀

Where have you been, I think all the Mazda trucks are Ford. And now some of the cars with Mazda on them are Ford.

Good point. It's possible to share vehicles without completely ruining the brand. The Mazda Truck (B-series) and Tribute are both rebadged Fords. The truck has been a rebadged Ranger for a long time, even before Ford bought controlling interest (33%) of Mazda.

  • The Miata is 100% Mazda, and the next generation platform is rumoured to be based off the RX-8.
  • The RX-8 is 100% Mazda.
  • The Mazda6 platform is almost entirely Mazda, with only the 3L Duratec from the s being from Ford - even that has been upgraded.
  • The Mazda3 is a shared platform with Ford and Volvo, with 40% parts sharing with the other companies. I have no problem with platform engineering. Rebadging other vehicles does bother me, however.

LOL 🙂

Regardless, if people want a real Swede SUV, they'll get an XC90😉
