I have an Abit SA6R with:
Mushkin 256MB Rev 2
866MHz P3
Two IBM 307045 (45GB) drives in RAID-0
Creative 3D Ultra 64 video card
Plextor 12/10/32A RW/CDROM
Toshiba M1502 DVD
System is only one week old, but has had no problems. Haven't tried to overclock yet.

I haven't had any AGP problems with mine. Yes you can use all the IDE channels. They don't HAVE to be used in a RAID setup. I've read that you really don't want to used CD drives on the ATA/100 channels. Something about it being too fast for them or something like that. I may be wrong on that, so you'll have to research further if you want to use them that way.

IDE 3 and 4,- the Hi Point controller ports, don't work very well with some ATAPI CDROMS, a problem since day one with Hi Point controllers. The Hi Point controller needs an IRQ and this can cause conflicts with some system configs.
The SA6R is a wide motherboard and components on the right side can be blocked when using smaller cases, you have to pull the AGP card to change memory. Other than that the board works well.

Thank you mschell. I have a V5 in my AGP slot. It's a long board and does fit close to the DIMM slots. But If I unlatch the top retention clips first, I can still remove and replace my DIMMs without too much hassle. It's a little snug, but I can leave my AGP card in place.

Depends if you use RAID 0 or RAID 1, one will give you 10GB (a mirror copy of the other drive for safety) or the other will give you 20GB for capacity and speed.

It looks like even a RAID 1 will get you a performance increase!

Read about the Celeron issues with the SA6R if you're planning on using one of them with it.
