I was just looking through some various monitors, considering getting one, when I came across a few monitors (mostly NEC) that use SA-SFT panels. I'm not familiar with this panel type. And they didn't seem to use it long (I.E. the NEC LCD2180 used it but the LCD2190 doesn't) - is this because it sucks or what?

SA-SFT is a fancy name for an S-IPS panel with a more natural-white color filter. It's probably the best type of panel available for color reproduction but I don't know if they use response time acceleration with it or not.

The SA-SFTs are manufactured by NEC, as opposed to the S-IPS panels which are generally LG Philips-made.
