Hi everyone.
I have currently, a winchester 3200, 3500.. I made a mistake of buying epox 939 board, which is literally P O S.
I could never get those chips to anywhere near 2600(2400 was best) so i ordered a FX-53.
It's multipler unlocked and all, so i could run 12~14X200. I think the board is the biggest culpit so far.
I see a lot of success with msi neo 2+ .90 chips (or fx), and saw TWO stories of epox running stable.

I also have OCZ pc4000 dual channel (el. which i think is hynix chips) gold(512X2), Would it benefit me more to go MSI neo2 + 3500(total about 400 bucks) or keep epox and go for FX chip(600 bucks for the chip).

Not sure if i wanan buy another ram setup, nor if it works fine with msi at tight timings.
no matter what i do, using SATA(on 3/4 slots) i can't overclock over 240mhz bus on various boards.

opinoins are welcomed!

Few have recommended new power supply, so i have ocz 550 coming.
it's strange why same chip works at 2600(260X10) on neo 2, and not over 240(239X10, epox is overclocked by default). so far neo is the board i have been able to overclock over 239 mhz while using SATA(slot 3,4 of coruse)

Arguably the two best 939 boards right now are the Neo2 and the Asus A8V Rev2. On average, I see the highest FSB clocks with the Neo2, but there are also a fair share of complaints (probably because it's so popular). The A8V Rev2 also gets solid FSB overclocks, but on average not as high as the Neo2. Stable board though, with few quirks.
